Preschool Special Education Services
The Ashwaubenon School District offers special education services to qualifying 3 to 5-year-olds. Children qualify when they are identified by the school district as having a disability. If you have a concern about your child's development:
- Talk to your child's caregiver, doctor or teacher.
- Complete an Ages and Stages Questionnaire-3 screener with your child. The online format can be found HERE, or you can request a paper copy from Cormier School by calling 920-448-2870. Be sure to include your concerns in the comments section.
- Discuss results with the staff member that follows up with you via phone or email
SPECIAL EDUCATION EVALUATION
If concerns arise regarding your child's development, you will be contacted to discuss these concerns and decide whether or not a special education referral is necessary. Children who complete special education evaluations, meet state criteria, and are determined to need special education are eligible for preschool age services through the development of an Individualized Education Plan.
