SCHOOL BOARD ELECTION INFORMATION

The Ashwaubenon School District has two seats on the school board that are up for the general election on April 7, 2026.

School Board Member  -  Jennifer Vyskocil

School Board Member  -  Brian VanDeKreeke

Qualifications for being a School Board Member

1. A citizen of the United States

2. 18 years or age or older; and

3. A resident of the Ashwaubenon School District for at least 28 consecutive days at the time of filing a Declaration of Candidacy.

Election Information/Documents

Persons interested in being a candidate for the office of school board in Ashwaubenon School District and to have their name appear on the spring 2026 election ballot must file a Campaign Finance Registration Statement - Local Candidates Committee (CF-1) and a Declaration of Candidacy – School Board Candidates (EL-162sd). These two forms (linked below) must be filed no later than 5:00 pm on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, in the office of the school district clerk at Ashwaubenon School District Office; 1055 Griffiths Lane; Ashwaubenon, WI 54304; Attention: Jennifer Bower.

If a candidate does not “File Exemption” under A28 on the Campaign Finance Registration Statement - School Board Candidates (EL-162sd), the following forms must also be completed and filed in the office of the school district clerk.

Important 2026 election dates:

• December 1, 2025 - Earliest Date to file Candidacy papers
• December 26, 2025, 5 p.m. – Deadline for incumbents to file Notification of Non-Candidacy
• January 6, 2026, 5 p.m. – Deadline for candidates to file Declaration of Candidacy and Campaign Finance Registration Statement forms
• February 17, 2026 – Spring Primary – a Spring Primary will be needed if 5 or more candidates file Candidacy papers for the two seats for Ashwaubenon School Board
• April 7, 2026 – Spring Election

NOTICE IS HERE BY GIVEN that an election to be held in the Ashwaubenon School District on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, the following school board member offices are to be elected to succeed the present incumbents listed, whose term of office will expire in April 2026. The term of office for school board members is three years beginning in April 2026.

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN, that a Campaign Registration Statement and a Declaration of Candidacy must be filed no later than 5:00 pm on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, in the office of the school district clerk at Ashwaubenon School District; 1055 Griffiths Lane; Ashwaubenon, WI 54304; Attention: Jennifer Bower.

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN, that is an incumbent does not file a Notification of Non-Candidacy by 5:00 pm on Friday, December 26, 2025, and does not seek re-election, the deadline for filing Declaration of Candidacy and Campaign Registration Finance Statement will be extended an additional 72 hours or no later than 5:00 pm on January 9, 2026.
