In Math, the following concepts will be covered: Practicing and Mastering Basic Addition and Subtraction, Multi-digit addition and subtraction, Story Problems, Measurement, Geometry, Time, Money, Place Value.
In addition to our Houghton Mifflin series, our second graders will be expected to master basic addition (facts with answers from 0-18) and subtraction (facts with answers from 0-18), The students are given either five minutes to complete the one hundred question test or ninety seconds to complete thirty problems. Our district standard is to answer one question every three seconds.
