Senior Checklist

  •  Attend fall previews at technical colleges, colleges and universities.
  •  Wisconsin Education Fair @ St. Norbert College: September 28 & September 29--for times: wefs.org
  •  Take/retake ACT, SAT as necessary.
  •   Prepare a resume.
  •  Pick up admissions guides for state private or technical colleges in the Student Services office.
  •  Listen to announcements for ongoing technical college, college, university, military, proprietary representative visits.
  •  Apply to technical colleges, colleges and universities; recommended filing date is before October 1, 2011.
  • University of Wisconsin Public System admissions open 9/15/11 Apply online: www.apply.wisconsin.edu
  • Wisconsin Private Colleges Admission dates vary. Apply online: www.wisconsinmentor.org
  •  Wisconsin Technical College System Apply online: www.witechcolleges.com
  •  Outside WI: go to specific college/university website 
  • All post-secondary applications are sent by the Student Services office. If you have applied online, complete a yellow transcript request form in Student Services. This is an important step of the admission process. Colleges will not make a decision unless you complete this step.
  • Youth Options Applications for second semester are due Monday, September 19, 2011.
  • Submit application to NCAA Clearinghouse if pursuing Division I or Division II athletics. Apply online at: ncaa.org
  • Visit Student Services office weekly for recent scholarship applications and deadlines. These are also announced via school announcements and Jag T.V. If you have yet to pick up your scholarship booklet, these are available in Student Services. Submit all scholarship applications to Student Services.
  •  Request letter of recommendation from teachers at least three weeks in advance of need.
  •  Apply for financial Aid (FAFSA) Online application: www.fafsa.ed.gov. File no earlier than January 1, 2012 (after W-2 forms have been received).
  • Complete community service hours - 24 hours is the requirement - as soon as possible.
  • Scholarship Award/Recognition Evening May 16, 2012 at 6:30 p.m.
