Requirements for consideration for the National Honor Society at Ashwaubenon High School:


Note: the requirements listed are beginning for the Class of 2010. Current Seniors fall under the existing requirements of a 3.6 GPA and 36 hours of community service. 


Scholarship: Eligible juniors and seniors must consistently maintain a grade point average of 3.67 or higher and have completed or are currently enrolled in at least five of the following course offerings:  Any World Language Level III or higher or Level II of a second language, American Lit Honors, British Literature (grade 11); any Math Honors course, Advanced Chemistry, Advanced Biology and an AP or College Credit course.

 

Service: This quality is defined through the numerous voluntary contributions made by the student to the school or community, done without compensation and with a positive, courteous attitude and enthusiastic spirit.

  • 11th grade: 24 hours
  • 12th grade: 36 hours

Community service hours must be recorded by the end of September for the year they are wishing to be considered for membership.


Character and Leadership:


Students will be asked to write an essay as part of the selection process.


Complete form listing extracurricular involvement during your school career and provide a paragraph explaining which has meant the most to you.


No students will be considered who have had honor code violations during the year they are seeking selection in NHS.
