Attention Track Athletes:  The focus now should be about getting yourself in BETTER SHAPE than your opponent!  The fitness center is open M-R, 3:15-5pm.  Open-gyms sprinters, hurdlers, pole vaulters, and others that WANT TO GET BETTER, are on Wednesday and Sunday nights, 8-10pm.

Each individual event coach has a strength workout planned for each athlete.  All students interested in going out for the spring sport of track needs to attend the pre-season meeting in February with the start of the season in early March. Practices are held indoors in the AHS fieldhouse until the weather warms up so the team can get out on the outdoor track usually from 3:00-5:00PM Monday-Friday. Each week there is generally a meet for Varsity, Junior Varsity and Freshmen athletes. Most meets are local with a few exceptions for the Varsity team.
