Our season consists of different types of match play:

  • We play “TEAM INVITES” where the TEAM earns points for wins & losses.

  • We play Double Duals & Triple Duals where coaches try players out at different positions –either singles, doubles or both, earning team points for wins and losses.

  • We have CONFERENCE match play once the school year starts – this is a DUAL match- involving two teams only. (We have 12 teams in our conference and play six of these teams for season.)

  • Once Conference Play is completed we play conference cross-over matches and play out the other half of our conference- vying for the top ranking and trophy for the CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP!!

  • All-Conference Teams then advance to Sub-Sectional play for a WIN to advance to Sectionals. Both, TEAMS and Individual players can advance to sectional play by winning – this is a HIGH level of competition.

  • Sectional WINNERS advance to the WIAA STATE meet in Madison!

  • STATE is the Highest level of competition and a well deserved HONOR! State is held every year in October.

Tennis season is less than TEN weeks long – beginning the second week in August (August 9, to be exact) running until the second week of October (WIAA State Meet, October 12-14, Madison, WI).

There is a JV team and a Varsity team.  Through practices, skills and "challenge matches" determine who is on varsity and who is on the JV team.  All girls make the team.  We do not "cut" anyone.  If you want to get involved, learn the game of tennis, and work to get better every day, we want you!  Since this is a WIAA sport, you can only play one WIAA sport per season.

Our coaching principals are based on DEDICATION, DISCIPLINE, DESIRE and the ability to have FUN while competing with other young women athletes with the same skills and desires to compete in a NON threatening, loving environment. We have pool parties, team dinners, and family tournament tennis day in addition to other enjoyable team functions.
