CROSS COUNTRY RUNNERS LOVE TO RUN AND RUN FOR LOVE!

Cross Country is a fall sport starting in mid-August and concluding with the WIAA state meet at the end of October. The program offers competition on the JV and Varsity levels. All athletes who can maintain the designated level of training make the team. The varsity and JV teams always compete at the 5000 meter distance for boys and 4000 meters for girls.

There are meets every week and since the JV meets are unlimited entries everyone gets to compete each week. It is recommended that athletes coming out for cross country get in some pre-season training. It is necessary to have a good pair of training shoes and a "runners watch" as needed equipment.
