Ashwaubenon Jaguars Cheerleading
2011 Varsity Competition Team State Qualifier at Regionals

GO JAGUARS!  GO!  GO!

The Jaguar Cheer and Stunt Team is a great way for a student at Ashwaubenon to get involved as an “Ambassador” to our school, promoting Jaguar spirit and sportsmanship among our student body at athletic events throughout the year. We are a co-ed cheerleading team that provide game day cheers/chants, stunting and gymnastic routines for fall and winter sports.

As Ambassadors to AHS, we also focus on community service throughout the year so our athletes can “give back” to our community and learn valuable leadership skills. We enjoy promoting our “Cheer for a Cure” program each year. Our NEW youth cheer program also allows us to work with our elementary age students so they may learn the fundamental skills to be a future AHS cheerleader. A winter basketball performance with our youth cheerleaders is a big event for these students each year.

The Jaguar Cheer Team participates in statewide cheer competitions during the winter season which are held on the weekends. We love to compete at 4-5 events each year. In 2009, the Jaguar Cheer Team received the title of “WACPC Regional Champions” and went onto the state competition to earn a 3rd place finish in their cheer division. “UCA Camp Champs” and the prestige “UCA Sportsmanship Award” for 2009 was awarded to the Jaguar Spirit Team this past August.

There are currently (2) levels of participation: JV and Varsity. Practices are held 2-3 times per week with game day activities 1-2 times per week depending on the sports schedule. Spring tryouts are held at AHS. Our summer gymnastics and stunting training starts in mid June along with cheer clinics/camp in August. We love team-building activities throughout the school year.
