Our Soils unit is a hands-on science kit developed by the Einstein Project.  Student perform actual soil identification tests on sand, clay and humus.  Using this acquired information, students test our local soil.  The unit also includes the planting of seeds in sand,clay and humus and making compost bags.  It is a messy unit, but the students love it!
